The Ambassador of Netherlands Visits FCDF

During her visit to the Foundation, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Yemen: "I am hugely impressed by the services provided by the Family Counseling and Development Foundation"


The Netherlands Ambassador to Yemen, Irma Van, visited the FCDF in Sana'a on January 23, 2020.

During the visit, Fan was briefed on the psychological treatment services provided by the Foundation. She listened to a detailed explanation about the services of clinics and departments in the Foundation.

" I must say I am hugely impressed to see what FCDF and its staff mean to people from all over Yemen, in particular women and children. You are all dedicated and professional and provide a unique service to Yemen. I am very proud to support you through UNFPA as Dutch embassy" Ambassador Van to FCDF website.

"I was very proud that Dr. Bilqis Jubari was at the International Conference on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support representing our work in Yemen, which I could not attend because I was not there at the time," she said.

"I've heard a lot about FCDF, but now that I've seen the center with my own eyes, I'm more impressed, because I could see how unique you are in Yemen," she said.

She added that during her visit to Hodeidah governorate, she heard difficult and tragic stories related to gender-based violence, believing that the services provided by the Foundation are very important, as they are unique and a complete package of integrated services including treatment, therapy, referral, free medicines, etc...

She concluded saying "This visit has made my day. I am leaving today for Amman, but I hope to come back to visit you".
