Most of the Yemeni population faces constant pressure, loss and serious shocks, whether as a result of food insecurity, unemployment, cholera, arbitrary detention, torture, indiscriminate attacks, air strikes or poor basic public services, and thus the conflict in Yemen has direct effects on the health and mental well-being of the people Yemen. Despite the long-term negative effects on mental health including physical health, family cohesion, education, labor force participation, and peace and reconciliation efforts - mental health issues in Yemen are neglected by both the local authorities and the international community.
