On the International Woman Day, March 8th, the "CREATING HOPE DURING CONFLICT" group chose Dr. Bilqis Muhammad Jubari, founder and chairwoman of the Family Counseling & Development Foundation, to be among (8) women from all over the world to talk about what she is doing in the field of mental health.

This selection of Dr. Bilqis Jubari came in light of the prominent humanitarian role she played in the field of mental health during the conflict that has been going on in Yemen for more than seven years.

The group "CREATING HOPE DURING CONFLICTS" stated in a report published on its website titled "8 women working in the humanitarian field that you need to know" that these eight women worked to find innovative solutions for those affected by the conflict. The report shed the light in their contributions to change the course of many lives for better, through humanitarian assistance provided to them, as well as using their positions to advocate for greater involvement of women in humanitarian assistance.

The report pointed out that Dr. Jubari and her team partnered with (MSI) Yemen to train health care workers in Yemen and provide them with the necessary psychosocial support in these difficult conditions where they work. They are now able to provide better and more quality health care services.  The report explained that a large part of Dr. Jubari's work focuses on prevention of psychological disorders.

The Dutch embassy in Yemen had chosen Dr. Jabari as "Lady of the Year" on the same occasion last year.

It is noteworthy that the "CREATING HOPE DURING CONFLICT" group is a partnership between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the British Department for International Development (DFID), the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Canadian Grand Challenge Foundation.
