Hope and Desire of Life is Back to Her

Survivor M.Y, 29 years old, Bachelor Degree of Islamic studies divorced and has a two-year-old child, from Sana'a province and lives in the capital Sanaa.

She got married when she was 22 years and moved a house that all members suffer from behavioral disorders. For example, they ask her to wash clothes over three to four times and then they smell clothes and ask her to wash again, as well as the cooking, the cleaning and all matters of life within that house. They completely prevented her from meeting with any friend or go to visit any of her relatives or neighbors. The situation was getting worse and worse as the family continues their unbearable behaviors   unsustainable

 

She made several attempts to solve the problem and tried leaving the house and go to her family’s home, but the husband's family did not care about her and left for months without asking about her, which forced her to return to her husband’s home to protect her husband and child.

The survivor lived a life of real isolation with all the unbearable pressures of the husband's family. All of these factors made the her lose all its pleasure in life and the feeling of extreme despair and permanent lack of ability to do any domestic work because of the deterioration of her psychological and health status.

After the husband's family had noticed the situation of the wife, they decided to return her to her family home a divorced woman as a reward for her for end-of-service with them.

The situation made her suffer from severe depression with real attempts to commit suicide. During a visit to a friend of hers, she was given the number of service in the hotline 136 to ask for help from them. she contacted the service line and she was listened at by a specialist who made a good relationship with her and asked her to come to the building of the institution since her condition requires therapeutic intervention.

The second session was a plan with the patient to deal with this problem and review with her what she should do in the coming days to alleviate psychological depression. The patient was also referred to the psychiatrist in the institution. The psychiatrist evaluated the situation and made a pharmaceutical plan coincides with the treatment plan.

After a number of psychological sessions and follow-up it became clear that the patient began to respond to psychological and medical treatment, now, the patient is about to complete the treatment program is now implemented instructions on strategies to prevent relapse and the most important development of personal skills,

Now the patient is about to complete the therapeutic program that has been implemented in the instructions on strategies to prevent relapse and most important is the development of personal skills.

in the last session, she described herself as a reborn person who has her desire and hope in life. She now enjoys her daily chores and every detail in her simple life, and that two days ago she found a job in a school. This job would enable her to cover the expenses of herself and her little daughter.
